Although we are all deeply passionate about our mechanical engineering studies, Mechanix was founded to gain a closer connection with the practical side of our education. The theory and knowledge we acquire in class are, of course, essential, but with our working group, we also strive to gain more real-life experiences to complement our studies. Real-life experiences that are at least as important as the theory.
Mechanix is a student association and working group of VTK, created by and for engineering students with a passion for energy and mechanics (and others with similar interests), aiming to provide students with engaging activities and practical experience. Additionally, we are, of course, fans of typical student activities like a cantus or a party.
We believe that hands-on experience and practical insights are key to bridging the gap between academic learning and the real world. Through workshops, internships, industry visits, and collaborative projects like case competitions, we aim to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their professional lives. By engaging with industry experts and learning from real-life scenarios, our members gain a valuable edge, ensuring they are ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities that await them in their future careers.
